  • Qarz-e-Hasan bridge financing

Qualified supporters may contact leadership privately to discuss documented, interest-free loan arrangements. How it differs from a donation

Important distinction

Donations and Qarz-e-Hasan are not the same

To keep charitable gifts and repayable loans clearly separate, please review the difference below before contributing.

Charitable donation (sadaqah)

  • A gift given for the sake of Allah, seeking His reward.
  • Not returned to the donor.
  • May qualify as Sadaqah Jariyah — ongoing charity.
  • The primary way to support the campaign.
  • Tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Qarz-e-Hasan (interest-free loan)

  • A repayable loan, not a charitable donation.
  • Temporary, interest-free bridge financing.
  • Requires separately documented terms and agreed repayment.
  • Subject to appropriate legal and financial review.
  • Not a donation, so not tax-deductible.
Qarz-e-Hasan is a repayable loan, not a charitable donation. Qualified supporters who wish to provide temporary, interest-free financing may contact the project leadership privately at donate@ummahislamicfoundation.com to discuss documented loan arrangements and agreed repayment terms.
The reward that continues

Beyond our lifetime

مَنْ بَنَى مَسْجِدًا لِلَّهِ بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مِثْلَهُ

"Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him something like it in Paradise."

Sahih al-Bukhari 450; Sahih Muslim 533

"When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him."

Sahih Muslim 1631

مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يُقْرِضُ اللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا فَيُضَاعِفَهُ لَهُ أَضْعَافًا كَثِيرَةً

"Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over?"

Surah Al-Baqarah 2:245

We cannot take our wealth with us when we leave this world. But by Allah's mercy, the good we establish with that wealth may continue benefiting others.
